BenefitWerks CEO, David Carter attended LIMRA’s Enrollment Technology Strategy Seminar, in Atlanta, GA, February 20-22, 2023. Mr. Carter was recently appointed to the LIMRA Data Exchange (LDEx) Standards®, advisory committee.

This conference provided an opportunity for LIMRA member insurance companies and benefits administration technology providers to participate in an open discussion on how to work together cohesively and define better outcomes. The goal was to connect participants with peers and technology purveyors to learn, network, and share innovative ideas to help identify potential solutions to existing challenges.

The LIMRA Data Exchange (LDEx) Standards® are designed to standardize the data exchanged between insurance carriers and benefits administration technology companies for employee workplace benefits, which aim to reduce errors, drive consistency, and streamline the process. Working with insurance companies and benefits administration technology companies, LIMRA has developed the first set of data exchange standards focused on post-enrollment data for the employee benefits industry.

As over half of employers indicate their company will rely on benefits technology more in the future (according to a recent LIMRA and EY study), building an integrated data-driven ecosystem is a critical mission for LIMRA and BenefitWerks.
